Key
Responsibilities:
Assist experienced carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures within the plant environment.
Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to aid in project execution.
Carry out tasks such as measuring, cutting, and shaping materials under the guidance of senior carpenters.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently, following proper guidelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a smooth workflow and safety.
Assist with the installation of doors, windows, partitions, and other components as directed.
Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Support general maintenance activities within the plant facility as needed.
Participate in on-the-job training to enhance carpentry skills and techniques.
Follow instructions and take direction from senior carpenters to contribute effectively to projects.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; enrollment in a trade school or carpentry apprenticeship program is a plus.
Entry-level experience in a related field, such as construction or woodworking, is desirable.
Basic familiarity with hand tools and an eagerness to learn more about carpentry techniques.
Ability to follow instructions, pay attention to detail, and work collaboratively within a team.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements:
Successful completion of a background check and drug test is mandatory for this position.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
