Full-time Teller, Nederland

Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, money orders, and cash advances.
Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals.
Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other Tellers with a variety of duties as required.
Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served.
Performs most complex Teller functions as needed.
This position requires excellent public relations skills and an understanding of Teller functions and procedures.
Timeliness, efficiency, and accuracy, as well as professionalism and confidentiality, are vital to the successful execution of this position.
This is an experienced paying and receiving position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS1.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High school graduate or equivalent is required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of the fundamentals of quality customer service.
Currency and check handling knowledge is required for full-time positions and preferred for part-time positions.
Basic understanding of financial operations is strongly preferred for full-time positions.
Knowledge of Teller operations is preferred for full-time positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Extensive customer service experience.
Strong experience handling currency and checks is required for full-time positions, preferred for part-time positions.
Teller or related experience is strongly preferred for full-time positions.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Professional appearance and attitude.
Good math skills.
Ability to operate related computer applications and business equipment including personal computer, adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, and telephone.
Good typing/data entry skills.

AVERAGE HEARING:
Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
FINGER DEXTERITY:

Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES:
Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
STANDING:
For prolonged periods of time on busy lobby days.
On a regular basis, stands about 80% of working time.
PHYSICAL STRENGTH:
Sedentary work.
Exerts up to 50 lbs.

Lifts up to 10-15 lbs.
