Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for patients - Review and interpret insurance policies and guidelines - Communicate with insurance companies to obtain necessary information - Update patient records with accurate insurance information - Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality - Collaborate with medical billing team to resolve insurance-related issues - Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding insurance inquiries - Answer operator calls and direct the messages to the appropriate location.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in insurance verification or related field preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical coding - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and guidelines - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment - Proficient in using office software and electronic medical record systems Note:
